Renowned nationally for supplying electrical, electronic and automation products for industry and Ex equipment for hazardous areas, Polar Group is looking to expand its activities even further in 2024. The big news is the restructuring of the company, planned by CEO Evandro Esteves, who has just taken over the presidency of the group.
Since its foundation in 1992, Polar has always focused on long-term growth. At the end of 2021, Evandro Esteves announced the division of the company into three Business Units (BUs): Polar Distribution, focusing on the national market; Polar International and Blinda, an Ex equipment manufacturing company.
The strategy of dividing into BUs has worked so well that Evandro Esteves has started to draw up a new plan, with even more challenging targets for next year.
Thus, at the end of 2023, Polar Group was divided into five business units, following market trends and understanding the need to segment its national and international operations even further.
The new business units are:
Marine & Offshore, focusing on the naval and Oil & Gas sectors.
Brazil Expansion, operating nationally in sectors outside Oil & Gas.
Global Expansion, totally focused on clients outside Brazil.
Petrobras, an exclusive business unit to serve Petrobras.
Blinda, the Ex equipment manufacturing company located in Votorantim.
Over the next few days we will be starting a series of posts that will explain, in the managers’ own words, how each business unit will operate.
Nós, da Polar Group, estamos muito felizes em anunciar essa novidade e empolgados com os desafios desse ano que se inicia.
We at Polar Group are very happy to announce this news and are excited about the challenges of the year ahead.
