How Polar and Dropsafe Created a Customized Solution for an FPSO
Safety during offshore operations is a top priority and a core value for the development of this valuable industry in Brazil.
In collaboration with our manufacturer Dropsafe, we developed a customized solution to meet safety requirements during a production shutdown of an FPSO in the city of Macaé-RJ.
After visits, meetings, and extensive technical exchanges, we managed to design a tailor-made stainless steel protection net for installation on the offshore vessel.

Dropsafe Nets: Advanced Safety for Offshore Operations
Dropsafe nets are designed with high-strength stainless steel to protect against falling objects in offshore environments. Custom-made for easy and effective integration, these nets ensure compliance with the highest safety standards.
The Dropsafe fall prevention system also includes barriers, heat-resistant panels, and is designed to withstand multiple impacts. They are secured along the interior of the handrails on elevated walkways, stairs, and access routes of permanent or temporary structures using a universal fixing system.
