Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, Polar is one of the main suppliers to the offshore industry in Brazil, taking another step up after its internationalization in 2017. It recently acquired from Eaton all of Blinda’s tooling, machinery and equipment manufacturing rights , one of the main Brazilian Ex “d” industries, over the last 60 years.
Polar’s new management model comprises the division of its operations into three Business Units. They are Polar Distribution, Indústrias Blinda and Polar International, with the objective of ensuring that each one of them has adequate management and focus.
Polar Distribution is responsible for all Brazilian branches, dedicated to stocking and distributing product lines.
Polar International, based in London/UK, is the best choice for customers who prefer to handle the import process on their own, but can still rely on Polar’s national experience.
Indústria Blinda has been recognized since 1962 for its high quality Ex “d” (explosion-proof) equipment offering, including Crouse Hinds CEAG panels, push buttons, junction boxes and “Engineered” control units to Order” (ETO), which are part of Eaton’s CAP (Certified Assembly Partner) technology transfer program to Polar.
